About the name: I was playing Rock Band with a friend, and I was like "Hey, we should make a Duke Ellington avatar." Unfortunately, "Duke Ellington" wouldn't fit in the name slot, so we just named him "Eli". Then we thought of making a "Rasputin" character, so we did. I kept thinking about "Rasputin" for the rest of the day, so I used him for Tumblr. "High Life" just sounds elegant.
